Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or zoom.

How accessible this site is

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Every change to the site is tested automatically before it’s published:

  • an accessibility scan with axe-core on every page, at desktop and phone sizes
  • a Google Lighthouse accessibility audit
  • checks for alt text on images, one main heading per page, link text and colour contrast

Automated tests find many problems but not all of them, so we also check new pages by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader.

You can also turn on your device’s “reduce motion” setting, and the moving background on the home page will stop.

Known issues

We’re not aware of any accessibility problems at the moment. If you find one, please tell us.
